Join Karate World at the Children’s Recovery Center 5K!

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Karate World is proud to participate in the 11th Annual 5K Run for the Kids, a meaningful event that supports the Children’s Recovery Center (CRC) — an incredible nonprofit serving children and families in Horry and Georgetown Counties.

The event will take place at Morse Park Landing, right off Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet, SC. The day begins bright and early with a 1-Mile Walk/Run at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:00 AM. Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or simply want to cheer on the participants, this family-friendly event is the perfect opportunity to come together for a great cause.

Why This Event Matters

The Children’s Recovery Center provides critical services for children who are suspected victims of abuse. From forensic interviews and medical exams to counseling and advocacy, CRC works tirelessly to ensure children receive the care and protection they deserve. Their mission is simple but powerful: to put the child first and reduce trauma during the recovery process.

Each year, CRC helps countless families navigate one of the most difficult times imaginable. They receive referrals from law enforcement and social services, stepping in as a safe and supportive resource when children need it most. Events like this 5K are vital because every dollar raised goes directly toward these life-changing services.
