Lil' Dragons Karate

The Lil’ Dragons program is an introduction into martial arts in a fun filled 30-minute class designed just for your Lil’ Dragon. Training in the Lil’ Dragons class will help your child gain skills they need in all aspects of life: listening skills, longer periods of focus and attention, self control, sharing, and participating in group activities.These skills will help your child develop habits that lead to a healthier, happier, and more confident outlook. Each class involves conditioning, stretching, games, a structured curriculum, and a character-building “mat chat” in which topics like setting goals, polite manners, and etiquette are discussed. The goal of Lil’ Dragons is to teach important life skills, begin learning karate and self-defense techniques, be active, and have fun. Students will also gain improved hand-eye coordination and motor skills, listening and concentration skills, and increased respect for themselves and others.

Ages 6 – 12 years

Youth Martial Arts

The Karate World youth martial arts system is a unique blend of Karate, Kickboxing, and Jiu-Jitsu. Our program teaches children to defend themselves against bullies, gets them physically fit, and empowers them with life skills that will lead to success in other areas of their lives. Our kids have monthly “mat chats” on important topics such as nutrition, first aid, and anger management—as well as participation in monthly service-learning projects that include beach sweeps, animal shelter supply drives, and other engaging activities. New students start in our Beginner class, progress to Intermediate class (Black Belt Club), and finally to Advanced class (Team Elite).

Ages 13 years and up

Adult Martial Arts

Our Karate World blended martial arts system consist of 3 parts: Karate (covering the traditional aspect), Kickboxing (covering the more modern and effective striking methodologies), and Jiu-Jitsu (focusing on the close range grabbing, grappling, and ground fighting self-defense scenarios). Our adult class students enjoy the benefits of fitness, stress relief, improved self-confidence—and a chance to make new friends in a clean, safe, and family-friendly environment.

Ages 8 – 12 years

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Youth Program

Every month, up to 3 million children miss school due to fear of bullies. Our goal is to instill your child with unshakable confidence so that they can overcome bullies without violence. We focus on non-violent grappling techniques that teach children to neutralize and negotiate with bullies. In addition, we teach character development and life skills that they will be able to apply towards living a happy and balanced life going forward.

Ages 13 years and up

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals Program

BJJ Fundamentals is our Beginner program for both teens and adults. In this class you will learn to defend yourself from the 36 most common street attacks while perfecting the basic Jiu-Jitsu techniques. These techniques help to lay a strong foundation for students to build upon after graduating this program to move on to Advanced class. Since safety is our number one concern, there is no competitive sparring in this program. After successful completion of the BJJ Fundamentals program, you will test for your Fundamentals Belt, and he qualified for advancement into the BJJ Advanced program.

Ages 14 years and up

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Advanced Program

After BJJ Fundamentals Class, further Jiu-Jitsu training consists of hundreds of advanced techniques organized into seven positional chapters: Mount, Side Mount, Guard, Half Guard, Back Mount, Leg Locks, and Standing. Each BJJ chapter is studied for several months before moving on to the next chapter. Advanced class students are also allowed to spar or “roll”. Since all participants have completed our Fundamentals program, sparring is much safer and a lot of fun!

Available in 30 minute or 60 minute classes for Youth and Adults.

Private & Semi-Private Karate or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Lessons

Scheduled individually for adults or children, private and semi-private karate lessons are designed for students seeking a more personalized and focused training. These special training sessions help students improve their knowledge in preparation for belt exams and tournaments. Private classes also help those learning self-defense and with improving one’s form, technique, or sparring skills.

For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instruction, private training can help to accelerate training as it allows the instructor to provide further detail on form and corrections as well as the opportunity to analyze the student’s progress.

Private classes are a great alternative for the busy schedules of kids playing sports, or for adults who have to work and cannot easily make it to group classes. Private lessons can also be helpful for those who may feel uncomfortable during group classes and allows for trust building with one-on-one attention. Tailored to the student’s individual needs and experience level, private lessons offer a more direct learning environment. Individual sessions can help to foster increased confidence for entering into group classes later on.
